Bridge Development Selects General Contractor For Bridge Point FLL Logistics Center

Bridge Development Partners, one of South Florida’s most active industrial real estate developers, today announced its selected Hernandez Construction as general contractor for its Bridge Point FLL Logistics Center project in Fort Lauderdale. The two-building 174,129-square-foot logistics facility, located at 3303 S.W. 12 Avenue at Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport, is slated for completion in 3Q 2019.

“We are eager to welcome Hernandez Construction to the outstanding team that will bring Bridge Point FLL Logistics Center to fruition,” said Kevin Carroll, Partner, Southeast Region of Bridge Development Partners.

“Hernandez Construction has a proven track record of delivering state-of-the-art industrial facilities throughout our region. We look forward to working together on this world-class project that will serve to meet the demand for high-quality industrial space in South Broward and bring new jobs and investment to the area.”

Founded in 2002, Hernandez Construction offers a full range of construction management and development services. From state-of-the-art aviation facilities to complex industrial parks, the company has consistently delivered award-winning projects that continue to shape South Florida’s landscape.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be part of the Bridge Development Partners team,” said Alex Hernandez, president of Hernandez Construction. “We look forward to digging into this transformational project and building a long-term relationship with such a well-respected industrial developer.”

Bridge acquired the strategically located 10.2-acre site, which formerly housed a school more than twenty years ago, in June. Bridge Point FLL Logistics Center will feature two Class-A industrial buildings divisible to 16,000 square feet. Building 1 will span 92,165 square feet, while Building 2 will total 81,964 square feet. Both are shallow-bay buildings, which allow more flexibility for today’s users, and will feature 32’ clear ceiling heights, rear-dock loading, and ESFR sprinkler systems. The logistic center’s strategic location offers immediate access to all points in South Florida via I-95 and I-595, including air and seaports.

CBRE Senior Vice President Tom O’Loughlin and First Vice President Larry Genet have been named exclusive leasing agents for the project.
