Located at the northwest corner of University Drive and Interstate 595, the 65,000 sq. ft. renovation of The Shops at One Plantation redefined the gateway to Plantation’s Midtown District. The center is connected to One Plantation, a 321-unit luxury apartment community, via a pedestrian pathway.
The reconfiguration and renovation of Shops at One Plantation created curb appeal and an improved customer experience with easier access and traffic flow. The commercial center remained in operation throughout the entire reconstruction period, creating an extra challenge for Hernandez Construction to keep both the construction site and operating tenants safe at all times. One Plantation apartments and retail center received NAIOP’s prestigious 2015 Project of the Year award. Hernandez Construction was the general contractor on the retail component and Stiles
developed the project.
